South African comedian Trevor Noah’s The Daily Show debut started on a high, but seems to have taken a bit of a knock.
Since Trevor took over the reins from Jon Stewart a month ago,the show’s viewership has dropped by 37%, according to Salon magazine.
On the upside, viewership in the 18 – 24 demographic increased by 20%.and increased on-demand streams for the show by 44%.
It’s far too early to draw conclusions about what the drop means, it will take a while before Trevor gets to the level of Jon Stewart, who hosted the show for 16 years.
We think Trevor is off to a good start, and we believe he will definitely win over the naysayers – eventually…hopefully!
