IT’S ONE of the most anticipated awards at the Feather Awards . . .  This year the prize for Drama Queen of the Year goes to Bonang Matheba!

It seems it was Bonang’s alleged relationship with rapper AKA that put her in the spotlight.
Each year this award celebrates the most controversial characters in Mzansi.
Yesterday’s seventh annual Chevrolet Feather Awards at the Joburg City Hall saw celebrities, politicians and businesspeople attend.
It also included activists from the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex communities and students who gathered to celebrate individuals from that community.
Nominations for the Drama Queen award included Queen B, businessman Prosper Mkwaiwa’s widows Tina Jaxa and Tina Dlangwana and DJ Sbu.
And Eskom was a surprise but worthy nomination for their load shedding performance.
Former winners include the likes of Nonhle Thema for her social media meltdown in 2011.
The 2012 title went to Tina Mkwaiwa because of her stormy relationship with her dead husband Prosper. Tina was still recovering from an operation after being attacked and arrived in a wheelchair.
Savita, the widow of TV presenter and businessman Vuyo Mbuli, took the 2013 award for the scandalous way that she conducted herself after her husband’s death.
Last year TV producer Mfundi Vundla and the cast of Generations won the award.
