YOUTH traditional music festival organisers, Tshepiso Modisadife and TK Ntsepe, are angry at SABC2’s Muvhango actor Azwindini.

The actor (real name Gabriel Temudzani) was booked to be the MC at the Mme Mosadi Music Festival, but he failed to pitch.

The event took place at the Jouberton Community Hall in Klerksdrop, North West, on 5 August.

According to the organisers, Azwindini was booked for a fee of R7 000 and R4 000 was paid into his bank account.

Tshepiso and TK have now deemed him an untrustworthy person.

The event was to celebrate Women’s Month and traditional music..

When contacted for comment, Azwindini said: “I’ve explained to the organisers that I had a tyre puncture, and by the time the tyre was fixed, it was late. I apologised to the audience.”

Although he has since refunded the money, Tshepiso and TK are not impressed.

They said this didn’t only disappoint them, but the people who were looking forward to the event.

Speaking to Sunday Sun, Tshepiso said: “We’re worried about our image. People will no longer be interested in attending our events.”

TK added: “I feel he took us for granted, and as the hosts of the event, we lost due to refunding people their money and the bad image we got in the commu-nity.”
