Financial literacy is Required in SA: if she invested that #NSFAS R14 million money should have made up to R2.5ml

Financial literacy is very important. When you receive such amount of money in your account. You knew for the fact that the money will be trace back to you. I think common sense should have told her to invest the money until she get contacted. In the course of two months she had spent R818000. This is ridiculous. In two months, she should have made up to R2.5ml just from interest.

She should be punished not for theft but for stupidity and lack of thinking

The student who mistakenly received R14 million (instead of R1,400) food allowance has already spent in excess of R800 000 of the funds.
The Walter Sisulu University in the Eastern Cape confirmed that a R14 million bursary allowance was mistakenly paid to a student.
