ACTRESS Rami Chuene stole South Africans hearts with her devious and over-confident role as Kgomotso on Muvhango. Her fans were so heartbroken when she left the show after she wrote them a heartfelt letter upon her exit. Seemingly that step opened
many doors as she is now on e.tv’s new series Harvest and will soon be joining one of Mzansi’s most-watched drama series The Queen.

TWITTER CAMPAIGN FOR A ROLE
A few weeks ago, Rami requested her fans to retweet for her to play Brutus’ wife on The Queen. She needed 10 000 retweets for her to land herself that role. The campaign battle was between herself against model and entertainer Refilwe Modiselle.

Also Shona Ferguson, co-owner of Ferguson Films which produces The Queen, announced that Rami won the battle and that she has signed a contract. Mzansi Magic’s spokesperson Bongiwe Potelwa-Metsing says at this stage they cannot say what Rami’s character will be doing in the drama series.

“We cannot give interviews as we are still trying to find a way we are going to execute the character,” says Bongiwe. With excitement, Rami shared the news on her Twitter page that she will be part of the drama series.

“It’s for real. Rami Chuene has signed. Thanks tweeps. Details of the character to be revealed later. Welcome to THE QUEEN,” the show’s executive producer Shona Ferguson tweeted.

Since she will be Brutus’s wife, viewers can imagine the type of drama she will be bringing. Viewers will definitely be left in needles and stitches.
