Rapper Emtee revealed this week that he is planning to hit TV screens with a new show focused on unearthing up-and-coming young talent.

"I have this idea for a TV show that will discover young rap talent and also showcase them to the country. I am passionate about young talent and have tried to expose them to the industry through my new record label. This is just the next step in that," Emtee said.

He said that he has taken the idea to a number of broadcasters and was now in the final stages of a deal to get it on screen.

"I can't speak much about it but we are busy working on the details and ironing out the concept more," Emtee added.

The rapper also hinted at the show's title, Rap for Me, telling young rappers on Twitter to pay him respect so that they can get an opportunity to be on his show.

Emtee is no stranger to TV and last year appeared on Mzansi Magic soapie Muvhango.
