BABES Wodumo and her long-term manager, Sanele Dlokolo, have parted ways.

Although the reasons are not yet clear, one source told Daily Sun: “There is more to the story than meets the eye.”

Sanele has refused to say anything about the split, except that there is no beef between them.

Sanele said: “Angisi wu muntu othanda ukukhuluma kakhulu (I am not a talkative person)”.

“But all I can say is that there is no beef between myself, Mampintsha and the rest of the West Ink Records staff,” he said. “I feel that we all made an impact on building Babes’ brand.”

Babes – whose real name is Bongekile Simelane – dropped the phone when the SunTeam called her for comment, while Mampintsha’s phone was off.

Sanele admitted that he and the Wololo hit- maker have gone their separate ways.

The source further claimed that Sanele could no longer work with Babes because he felt Mampintsha, who is rumoured to be Babes’ boyfriend, was sometimes interfering with his client’s working arrangements.

“It was hard for the poor guy to make or take decisions for Babes as her manager, so he saw it best to leave her and focus on building other brands.”

Sanele has since been linked to a new Joburg-based artist, Zameka Nkumanda.

“This guy worked hard to build Babes’ brand. He even defended her on her controversial new track, Mercedes.

“He is confident, though, that he can do the same for Zameka,” said the source.

However, Sanele has denied that he is now managing Zameka.

“Zameka is a friend of mine. I met her through a friend. I have been pushing her because I love promoting talent,” he said.

“It is not true that I am her new manager or I left Babes for her. Zameka is the next big thing.
