SA rapper Cassper Nyovest has hit back at suggestions that he might have stolen Kanye West's idea for a floating stage.

Kanye West made headlines over the weekend when he stopped his show in Edmonton, Canada to take shots at an unnamed artist for "stealing" the idea for the stage.
"This (is) the original, accept no imitations! You with the rap God, right now. N****s be copying our sh*t bro. Stealing our shit, stealing our stages. Copying our shit one-to-one," Kanye told the crowd.

Cassper, who last year surprised fans at his Fill Up The Dome concert by elevating his stage above the crowd, took to Twitter on Monday to rubbish the idea that Kanye was talking about him.
The Doc Shebeleza rapper claimed to have found US reports implicating him in the fiasco, but maintained that he had the idea first.

Of course, this is not the first time that Cassper has spoken out on the issue. The rapper took to Instagram, after Kanye first debuted his stage in August, to note that the star's stage was "the very same concept" as his, and that it was a "great feeling" to have done it before his idol.
"Obviously the world will bug out more (be)cause it's Kanye but it's just a great feeling for me to do something before my idol. African child!!! This pic should show you that we are just as great!!! All we need is a platform!! #SameStageAsCassper," the rapper said in an Instagram post showing the two stages side-by-side.
