VETERAN actor Tumisho Masha has finally had his day in court.
Tumisho appeared in the Randburg Domestic Violence Court on Thursday on a domestic violence-related charge.
This for allegedly assaulting his wife, Zozibini Mtongana.
On Friday, he was back in the Randburg Criminal Court for malicious damage to property and common assault charges.
According to court papers, his wife accused him of slapping her and kicking her in the stomach at their home in Dainfern, Joburg.
He’s also accused of damaging household items and her cellphone by smashing it against the wall during a heated argument.
Police officials say Tumisho was arrested while he was attending to his domestic violence case in the Randburg Court.
The police source said he was taken to the Douglasdale Police Station where he was granted R1 000 bail.
His case was postponed to 7 October for mediation.
Earlier this year, Tumisho was quoted saying his wife was spreading malicious lies about him.
It was reported he physically abused her after she spread rumours about his alleged drug addiction, being a drunkard and an irresponsible dad.
According to the reports, their troubles escalated at a party they attended in April.
After the violence, Zozibini obtained an interim protection order against him, which Tumisho vowed to fight.
In June, Tumisho survived a seven-hour hijack ordeal in Soshanguve, Tshwane.
