Mzansi's own version of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, known as The Vendashians, are about to hit our small screens.

In its scramble for a slice of the local drama pie, the producers of the SABC2 soapie have introduced new and old characters in Azwimmbavhi Rambula (Mpho), Pandelani Mulaudzi (Mo), Ndivhuwo Mudau (Dee) and Candy Magidimisa (Shez) as Vendashians to up the stakes.
The foursome, whose fame emanates from just being famous, will make their dramatic debut early next month.
Rambula, 28, would be remembered as Mpho, famous for giving sangoma Mulimisi's lover Shonisani a hard time during their love triangle. So, Mpho continues from where she left off.
When she exited, it was said she was going overseas to walk the ramps of famous fashion houses in Milan, Italy, and Tokyo in Japan.
"Mpho is back with a bang to cause trouble," said Rambula, "She returns to Thate village with three of her friends who are hot. She met them while modelling."
When asked about the sexy Vendashians and their potential lovers, Rambula said all she knew was that their partners had not been thrown into the storyline.
After making her Muvhango debut four years ago, Rambula said she was not a model in real life, but would consider walking the ramp if the opportunity arose.
She last entered a beauty pageant in her teens eight years ago, when she contested and was crowned Miss SAPS and Miss Thohoyandou.
According to Muvhango publicist Amanda Ngudle: "There will be fashion and lifestyle trends on how the young, hip and happening Venda people live, interact and fall in love.
"The Vendashians are glamorous, modern, contemporary yet ethnic, they are young and beautiful."
