SHE’S one of the most celebrated artists in Mzansi – and she’s taken!
Today, Sunday Sun can reveal that “Bucie”, real name Busisiwe Nqwiliso, is married.
Known for her hit songs Easy to Love and Rejoice, the musician has been officially taken off the market by a lucky man known only as “Nhlanhla”.
Sunday Sun can reveal that Nhlanhla, who is not in the entertainment industry, has put a ring on it, but that they want to keep their relationship as private as possible.
Speaking to Sunday Sun, the excited makoti said: “I’m officially off the market and it feels right! Any woman wants to have someone who’s theirs.
“I’ve found my one and we’ve begun to build our life together.”
Last month, Nhlanhla asked for Bucie’s hand the traditional way.
Ilobolo was paid and the formalities took place at her home in Klerksdorp, in North West, where the two families formed a union.
“I’m head over heels in love. I love him with everything I have.
“In this day and age it’s rare for guys to fully commit – and he has,” she said.
The two met early this year and Nhlanhla didn’t waste any time.
The award-winning artist said: “When he asked me to be his wife I first laughed at him because I thought he was joking, but once I realised he was serious, I cried tears of joy.
“There were no doubts about our love.
“I said ‘yes’ in a heartbeat!”
She told the People’s Paper their traditional wedding ceremony will take place before the end of the year.
Bucie said they decided to keep their relationship private.
“He’s his own person and is not interested in the industry at all.
“I know what our industry is like, so I don’t want to expose him.
“I love him too much to do that.
“I can handle the industry as I’ve been in it for so long, but I don’t want him to go through that,” she said.
Bucie added their wedding plans will not affect her career as she’s ready to release a new album in October.
