RAPPER Lesego “Blaklez” Moiloa has shown the SA Hip Hop Awards the middle finger!
That’s according to a showbiz source who said: “Blaklez has paid his dues and he feels some award events are pushing their own agendas.
“He gets support from the industry, but he’s yet to get his big break and this frustrates him.”
Another source said: “The music industry is run by a few key players, who have the interests of certain artists at heart.
“Blaklez feels he’s sidelined and has to work extra hard to get the recognition he deserves.”
Last year Refiloe “Cassper Nyovest” Phoolo lashed out at the awards and claimed they overlooked his success as an independent artist and a game changer.
The awards began in 2011 to celebrate talent in the hip hop industry.
Blaklez’s manager, Reba Shai, confirmed Blaklez won’t be submitting music.
She asked for an email to be sent to her, but didn’t respond.
SA Hip Hop Awards publicist, Lerato Lefafa, couldn’t be reached for comment.
