Legendary disco king Penny Penny has taken the fight to SABC chief operations officer Hlaudi Motsoeneng, accusing him of tribalism and racism.

This was after Motsoeneng allegedly snubbed Limpopo's legends from a financial support initiative to benefit artists, which was hosted by the SABC.
The fuming Penny Penny, real name Eric Nkovani, lashed out at Motsoeneng, calling him a tribalist and a racist for allegedly snubbing him and Xitsonga music king Thomas Chauke from the breakfast last week, at which music legends received R50000.
Penny Penny, also an ANC councillor candidate in Giyani, said Motsoeneng excluded Limpopo artists because they were Tsongas. He revealed that Motsoeneng believed Limpopo artists were not part of his 90% local music quota.
"What he did is tribalism, and even racism, because Tsonga artists are not taken seriously by the SABC," Penny Penny said.
