Kwaito legend and 999 Music boss Arthur Mafokate has hit back at EFF leader Julius Malema, saying he must "shut up".

He was responding to an attack by Malema on him and singer Kelly Khumalo, in which they were called "useless" and "expired" artists the ANC was wasting money on.
"Malema must just shut up and concentrate on the elections," Mafokate said.
"Name-calling is for intellectually challenged people. What does he know about music and trending songs?"
Malema did the "name-calling" during his election campaign in Tshwane on Thursday.
TimesLIVE quoted him as saying: "The ANC spends thousands of rands on useless, expired artists such as Arthur Mafokate to perform songs that aren't even trending in this day and age, but he gets R10000 for expired songs."
Taking a dig at Khumalo, he reportedly questioned her claim to fame.
"As I speak, I'm trying to think what is Kelly Khumalo's hit, what is she known for?" Malema asked.
"But she is pocketing between R10000 and R15000 for every appearance she makes at an ANC event."
Mafokate said Malema should keep up with music industry knowledge and trends.
