AKA’s Sway In The Morning stirred up quite the buzz, talking about beef with Cassper Nyovest, romance with Bonang Matheba, the legacy of oppression and the difference between US and SA music industries.
Introducing AKA, Sway seemed impressed while listing his achievements, going on to term his personal life as US tabloid, TMZ. “He’s always in the news not just for music, but for his personal life,’ Sway said.
Kiernan went on to explain why he won’t open for international acts in South Africa, saying “you can’t expose me to my own people. But I guess it makes sense when you’re on the come up.”
The interview went the way of AKA’s beef with Cassper, African artists collaborating, music sampling, what AKA enjoys about the US, and the legacy of the ‘k’ and the ‘n’ word in relation to South Africa.
Having had written his flow the night before, the ‘Baddest’ rapper touched on being worldwide, money, how Kairo’s taking baby steps while he’s on the road, his aspirations, and took a jab at Cassper: ‘Now they got me sitting on the same chair as Tsibip,’ he rapped.

From his sting on Sway In The Morning, we take away these moving words from Kirnan: ‘The world is ready for a new story. The world wants to hear what South Africa has got going on; what Africa has got going on. There’s never been a better time for me to be an African artist.’
Social media went crazy, showing love to the SupaMega:
