The Correctional Services Department has dismissed media reports that Molemo "Jub Jub" Maarohanye was stabbed in prison.
Move! magazine claimed the rapper was involved in an altercation with another inmate during a soccer tournament at Leeuwkop Prison.
The inmate allegedly refused to give Jub Jub back a parcel he had asked the man to hold for him.
The pair apparently started shoving each other, and throwing punches.
The violent altercation ended with Jub Jub being stabbed on his thighs and stomach.
The drama did not end there - according to the publication.
Prison wardens had to fire warning shots to stop the violent brawl.
Jub Jub was reportedly even taken to hospital after he was nearly "slaughtered".
The situation was so chaotic that some prisoners even thought they would get shot during the drama - allegedly.
With so many details, the story has to be true, right?
Wrong!
Correctional Services say the entire incident is complete fiction!
"Ever since Molemo Maarohanye was incarcerated there's been so many different stories that have emerged about him. Last week there were claims that he was sexually assaulted, this week it's that he has been stabbed but nothing of this sort has happened. There was no fight and he was not stabbed," a correctional services spokesperson told Times Live.
Well, if Prison Break writers ever need material for their new season coming out in 2017, they just should give Move! magazine a call! Better yet, Leeuwkop Prison just might be housing South Africa's next best selling fiction author
