The couple might have had a quickie Western white wedding last week Friday, but the real action will be during their lavish traditional Zulu royal wedding taking place from tonight.

Mabena teases that viewers are in for a treat.

“It was exciting to shoot the episode. The wedding changed my character’s dimension, which is great for me as an actress. It’s going to be exciting for the viewers to experience the wedding and the whole transition after the wedding, especially those who have been following their love story,” Mabena explains.

“The best part about shooting the episode was wearing the traditional attire and just going deep into our tradition, just watching how beautiful it is and how it all plays out.”

Now that Sihle is Queen, Mabena points out that the audience can expect her to be the opposite of the kind of Queen that fellow character Qondi (Jessica Nkosi) has been.

“It’s definitely going to be a contrast to the kind of Queen Qondi is. People can expect some twist as well in the storyline. I think it’s quite clear that Sihle is power hungry. It’s going to be interesting to see how she behaves now that she has that bit of power. She is going to make some people feel that she’s in power.”

Mabena, who has for some time being romantically linked to soccer star Mpho Makola, says when she finally decides to tie the knot herself she will most likely go the traditional wedding route.

“I’m definitely going to go the traditional wedding route. It’s beautiful, it’s colourful and it represents who exactly I am. I can relate to it more,” Mabena states.

Tune into Isibaya tonight and tomorrow evening at 20:30 on Mzansi Magic to see all the wedding festivities unfold before your eyes. The episodes also serve as Zweli's inauguration as Chief.
