Pastor Paseka ‘Mboro’ Motsoeneng has accused CRL commission chair Thoko Mkhwanazi Xaluva of using the inquest into church leaders as a smear campaign to destroy specific churches including his.

Mboro came out guns blazing on Tuesday questioning the integrity of the Commission for the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Cultural, Religious and Linguistic Communities (CRL) and that of its chairperson.
This comes after Mkhwanazi-Xaluva publicly chastised Mboro over the recent social media posts which claimed that the controversial man of the cloth had visited heaven and taken pictures as evidence.
The post claimed that the photos would be made available to members of the public for a fee of R5000.
“Millions of people take religion very serious and for him to say he met Jesus’s beautiful Xhosa wife is an insult to the religion,” said Mkhwanazi-Xaluva.
Mkhwanazi-Xaluva said that she will be laying charges against Mboro for bringing the religion into disrepute.
The war between the two that started when the CRL commission that looked into church leader’s conduct asked Mboro to declare his finances has now flared up.
A clearly infuriated Mboro said that he had seen comments and threats made by the “nuts” Mkhwanazi-Xaluva.
“I watched the news and heard a woman who was behaving like a nuts girl [talking about Mboro] and I want to say I’m a Christian and those [her comments] are an insult to my calling and the entire Christianity,” said Mboro.
Speaking to Sowetan LIVE, Mboro denied ownership of the ‘trip to heaven’ story. “I went to heaven? So you mean I’m dead?”, he asked.
Mboro said he plans to lay charges against people who, according to him, created a fake Facebook account that has made the claims that he went to heaven.
“I’m going to open a case against people who opened the Facebook page. I will also be suing Xaluva tomorrow,” said Mboro.
Mboro said reports that he is selling pictures for R5000 are preposterous and are insult to his calling.
‘He [Jesus] cannot have a wife. There are no humans there, there are spirits. Heaven is not that cheap, you cannot sell it for R5000,” said Mboro.
CRL commission that looked into the conduct of church leaders in the country chaired by Thoko Mkhwanazi-Xaluva last year requested Mboro as well as other leaders to provide their church financial records.
According to Mkhwanazi-Xaluva, Mboro blatantly refused to comply with this request as well as a summon that followed to an extent that she has decided to lay criminal charges against him.
She said that Mboro’s refusal to provide his finances constituted a criminal offense.
Mboro has hit back at Mkhwanazi-Xaluva saying that she is using the commission to destroy him and his church.
“She is hunting Mboro and she is not going to win. I’m not going to close down and I’m not going to jail.
“She has insulted me and she has damaged my name and she’s going to pay me with her commission,” said the infuriated Mboro.
According to Mboro, the commission chair tried paint him as an anti-Christ.
“The commission, was it to destroy churches or protect religions? What was its purpose?
