Pearl Thusi is not going anywhere. The beauty brunette retains her position as a presenter on the music show as Sarit Tomlinson, founder and CEO of Capacity Relations, slammed the report of Pearl Thusi’s dismissal.

“Those reports are 100% incorrect. Pearl has definitely not been kicked off Live Amp. The format of the show will be changing; it will be moving to an earlier slot and set changes will be made. But the story of her being booted off is untrue and misleading.”

According to a report by Sunday Sun, Thusi and Warras have been given the boot because they haven’t been able to impress the show’s viewers.

The show which was previously hosted by Bonang Matheba and Andile Ncube is said to be going through a major revamp which will also see it moving from the 9pm to 7:30pm and will only be 30 minutes long instead of an hour. Luthando Shosha will remain on the show.

The two presenters will be hosting their last show on Friday, 5 February, according to Sunday Sun.

The music show, which airs at 9pm, will reportedly move to 7.30pm and has been cut down from one hour to just 30 minutes.

A source told the tabloid: “We were all shocked when we saw the call sheet for 12 February.” Another one claimed that the show isn’t working out.

SABC spokesperson Kaizer Kganyago told Sunday Sun: “We’re busy with rescheduling. We’ll make an announcement soon.”

Pearl confirmed the reports. She told the paper: “I know my comment is never good enough unless it’s something bad. Yes, it’s true. But the show’s producer, Sjula Dlamini, will give you comment.”

Live Amp will be moving to an earlier slot – 19h30 on Fridays. Meanwhile, Luthando “LootLove” Shosha will be co-hosting Urban Music Xpress alongside Adil More on Fridays at 21h00.
