THE fired Generations actors seem to have a knack for rising from the ashes!
Sunday Sun can reveal e.tv’s telenovela Ashes to Ashes has beefed up its cast by bringing in new faces – all from the fired Generations 16 group.
Sources close to the situation said Palesa Madisakwane, Atandwa Kani, Tina Jaxa and Hugh Masebenza have been roped in.
“Ashes to Ashes production company, Clive Morris Productions, has brought more ex-Generations actors to its telenovela.
“The arrival of these four actors on set in September brought joy to other stars who were fired from Generations,” said one actor.
Another cast member said the new batch of actors was well-received.
“Sophie Ndaba and Winnie Ntshaba may be next,” said our source in the wardrobe department.
“The show will be stiff competition forGenerations: The Legacy,” said a crew member. The “new” actors join Menzi Ngubane, Patrick Shai, Zenande Mfenyana and Nambitha Mpumlwana.
Palesa said: “I can’t comment on that.”
Atandwa and Tina’s phones were off.
Head of publicity at etv, Matlapulana Ragoasha, said: viewers can look forward to seeing Ashes to Ashes cast on screen once again when the second season launches next year. “New cast members will feature in Ashes to Ashes 2. “We can’t confirm who they are at this stage. “An announcement will be made in the new year.”
