Former Bafana Bafana captain and goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa’s multi-million insurance payout has been finalised, Premier Soccer League (PSL) chairman Irvin Khoza announced on Tuesday.

Ivan Khoza, chairman of the PSL tweeted on Tuesday that the payout had been received and would be processed. "The Senzo Meyiwa insurance payout has been received by the league. "We will notify the family, the club and beneficiaries in a proper manner," said Dr Khoza.
The former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper and fan favourite Meyiwa was shot and killed in Vosloorus, Ekurhuleni, while visiting his singer and actress girlfriend Kelly Khumalo last October in what the police have labelled a botched robbery.
Meyiwa's killers have yet to be brought to book despite Sam Meyiwa, Senzo's father stating he is aware of who the killers are. The insurance payout is said to be R5 million and will be distributed among Meyiwa's children and close relatives.
